About Jimmy Norman

I was born in Atlanta, and with the exception of a few years in Florida and Tennessee, I grew up in Clayton County. I am an Eagle Scout and life member of the NRA as well as Georgia Carry and Gun Owners of America. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a degree in Real Estate and Urban Development.

I was raised in a Christian home and embraced Christianity for myself as a young person. I am relying completely on God’s grace through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection for my salvation and my entrance into heaven. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” I believe the Bible is God’s word to us and it has something to say about all of life including individuals, families, churches and civil governments. We simply need to apply those principles consistently throughout all of life.

I am married to my wife Pam. We have been married just over 7 years and this is a first marriage for both of us. She also grew up in Clayton County. She is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Management. She works for Safeco Insurance Company as a manager in the Claims department. She has been involved in the pro-life movement in various ways over the past 30 years and currently she volunteers weekly at a local pregnancy resource center. She has also been involved in missions work – both locally and overseas – as she has had opportunity.

I have been a small business owner and entrepreneur for virtually all of my adult life. I am currently a semi-retired real estate broker. I obtained my real estate license at the age of 18. I’ve been a real estate agent, broker, builder and developer. I know what it is like to make a payroll and meet deadlines.

Over the past few years Pam and I have become increasingly concerned about the direction of both our country and our state with increasing and unsustainable regulation and spending. We got up off our sofa and started getting informed. We attended the Tax day protest in Atlanta in 2009 then started attending events last summer to meet declared candidates for this election cycle. We became interested in our local GOP group and North Ga 912 group. We attended the healthcare protest rally in Centennial Park in August 2009 and went to Washington DC in September with the hundreds of thousands of other Americans. I started a lunch group in Hall County to discuss issues and developed and taught a class on the US Constitution in February 2010. And late in February I made the decision to run for state senate.

Thank you for your interest in my campaign. Please vote Jimmy Norman for State Senate!
